Watch: Shudder’s Anthology Series “Creepshow” Gets Its First Trailer

Ahead of its panel at Comic-Con later today, AMC’s horror streaming service, Shudder, has released the first full trailer for its highly anticipated anthology series Creepshow. Based on the beloved 1982 film written by Stephen King and directed by the late, great George A. Romero, Shudder’s Creepshow is led by special effects legend and Walking Dead producer Greg Nicotero.

The series, set to premiere on September 26, will be split into 12 segments across six episodes. In addition to taking the director’s seat for an adaptation of King’s “Gray Matter,” Nicotero has assembled an impressive cast of talent, both on-screen (Tobin Bell, Jeffrey Combs, Adrienne Barbeau) and behind-the-scenes (Joe Hill, Tom Savini).

With titles set over the pages of comic books, the Creepshow trailer offers us quick glimpses into several of the show’s segments while promising to retain the familiar and stylized vibe of the original film. Plus, check out those phenomenal-looking practical effects from Nicotero’s award-winning KNB EFX Group! WOW!

Check out the trailer below, and don’t miss the premiere of Creepshow on Shudder September 26th.
