As we approach the release of Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated Alien: Covenant, several unanswered questions remain as to how exactly this new film will address the ending of its predecessor, Prometheus. Namely, what happened to David and Dr. Elizabeth Shaw after they escaped LV-223?
Thanks to The Crossing, an official prologue short released yesterday, we’re slightly closer to the answer. The short, narrated by David (Michael Fassbender), shows Dr. Shaw (Noomi Rapace) repairing his body as the two prepare for the long journey back to the engineer’s home planet. After placing Dr. Shaw into hypersleep, the clip ends as David arrives and prepares to destroy the planet. Check the synopsis and full prologue video below.
