Few characters have been adapted as many times and with as much variety as Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein’s Monster. Although a far cry from Shelley’s original description of the Monster, Boris Karloff launched the character into pop culture history in 1931’s Frankenstein forever cementing the misunderstood Monster as a horror icon.
