In this episode of The Remake Mistake, Mike accompanies Eric to a special night out with 1980’s Prom Night and its 2008 loose remake. They discuss the overuse of Disco, inventive movie kills (or the lack thereof), the trouble with focusing on a teen audience, and why the hell Leslie Nielsen and Idris Elba are in these movies. Eric has the sad realization that not all ‘80s slasher movies are magic while Mike struggles to remember any character’s name at all. All this and more while answering the question “was this remake a mistake?”
