While the home invasion subgenre doesn’t typically do it for me, Bryan Bertino’s 2008 debut The Strangers is one its better offerings. Now 10 years after its release, Bertino has penned the script for its follow-up, The Strangers: Prey At Night.
Directed by Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down, The Other Side of the Door) and starring Christina Hendricks and Martin Henderson, Prey At Night follows a family of four to a trailer park where they are stalked by three familiar masked maniacs. The trailer does a great job of setting the scene for the sequel while reminding you of key moments from the original film. A family’s road trip takes a dangerous turn when they arrive at a secluded mobile home park to stay with some relatives and find it mysteriously deserted. Under the cover of darkness, three masked psychopaths pay them a visit to test the family’s every limit as they struggle to survive.
The Strangers: Prey At Night will be released in theaters on March 9, 2018.
