After a handful of brief teasers, Blumhouse has released the first official trailer for their upcoming slasher film, Happy Death Day. The movie follows La La Land’s Jessica Rothe as she is forced to relive the day of her murder over and over again until she can discover the identity of her killer. The premise sounds super unique to the genre and the trailer honestly looks like a lot of fun.
Written and directed by Christoper Landon (Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones) along with comic book writer Scott Lobdell, Happy Death Day promises to be the Groundhog Day of the slasher genre. Check out the official synopsis and trailer below.
