Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria Remake Gets Its First Teaser Trailer

After what seems like an eternity, Amazon Studios has finally given us our first real look at the highly anticipated Suspiria remake from director Luca Guadagnino (Call Me by Your Name), and as far as teaser trailers go, this one is damn near perfect. In the span of just 90 seconds, we’re given a handful of unsettling images framed by flashes of the film’s throwback typography and set against a wonderfully disorienting score from Radiohead’s Thom Yorke.

While Dario Argento’s unmistakably vivid color palette has been traded in for more muted tones, Guadagnino seems to have perfectly captured the late-’70s look and vibe with this remake. Check out the synopsis and trailer below as well as our interview with actress Jessica Harper on 40 years of Suspiria.

As a darkness builds at the center of a world-renowned dance company, its artistic director, a young American new to the troupe, and a grieving psychotherapist become entangled in a bloody, sighing nightmare. From director Luca Guadagnino. Starring Dakota Johnson, Tilda Swinton, Mia Goth, Jessica Harper and Chloe Grace Moretz.

Suspiria will be released in theaters on November 2, 2018.
