Fede Alvarez Shares Unreleased Photos from the Making of Evil Dead (2013)

Much to my surprise, yesterday marked the fifth anniversary of 2013’s Evil Dead remake. To celebrate the occasion, director Fede Alvarez took to Twitter to share a handful of previously unreleased photos from the making of a film that is somehow already half a decade old.

Included in these new shots is an exciting look into how the crew achieved a few of the film’s incredible practical effects from Natalie cutting off her arm with a electric carving knife to a literal downpour of blood in the film’s final act. Check out the photos with their original captions below, and follow Fede Alvarez on Twitter at @fedalvar.
